EMMY® Statuettes and Plaques

"Are we associated with the Primetime EMMY® Awards?"

No, we are a regional chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. We do not sell or give commemorative items for the Los Angeles-based Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, and the Primetime EMMY® Awards. Please contact the Television Academy awards department office at ptawards@emmys.org.

We get a lot of questions this time of year:

"Can I purchase a duplicate EMMY®?"

"My name wasn't on the entry but I was a contributor to an EMMY®-awarded piece. Can I buy a statue?"

"My station paid the entry fees. Who gets the award?"

We thought this would be a good opportunity to answer those questions and
let you know your options.

A good starting place is the Award Ownership clause from the National Television Academy. This clause was included in the Rules section of Lone Star EMMY® Call for Entries:

AWARD OWNERSHIP: Emmy® Awards are presented to individuals, not to their employers. Ownership of the Emmy® ® statuette is retained by the individuals and The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, even if an employer pays entry fees. Stations, studios and production companies may order a commemorative statuette for public display at their place of business (up to a maximum of three per winning entry). The statuette is engraved the same as the actual Emmy® Award, with the word “commemorative” added on the rear of the statuette.

WHO RECEIVES THE AWARD? Producers, craftpersons and other statue-eligible entrants as listed on the entry form receive the Emmy® statuette, except where noted. Others who work on a nominated or winning entry may order production certificates or plaques.

We have a new ordering system, please use the Purchase Ticket to make purchase. Please only purchase one award per name at a time to make sure the correct information is gathered to inscribe the award.

Commemorative Statuettes and Replacement Statuettes

Stations, studios and production companies may order a commemorative statuette for public display at their place of business (up to a maximum of three per winning entry). The statuette is engraved the same as the actual Emmy® Award, with the word “commemorative” added on the rear of the statuette.

TO PURCHASE COMMEMORATIVE STATUETTE

Replacement statuettes may be ordered for a statuette that have been broken. All pieces of the statuette must be returned to the Lone Star EMMY® office, except for the namebands for the round statuettes. If the statuette has a square base, all pieces of the statuette must be returned with the order form.

TO PURCHASE REPLACEMENT STATUETTE

Important note:

The Lone Star EMMY® Chapter has depleted its inventory of the original rectangle-based regional EMMY® statuettes. RS Owens has stopped production and we are unable to secure any new rectangle-based statuettes for use as replacements.

In the event your original rectangle-based EMMY® statuette is broken, we can only offer the new oval-based regional EMMY® statuettes as a replacement at a cost of $250.

Please be extremely cautious when handling either style of EMMY® statuette.
RS Owens does not offer any extended warranty or guarantee and the Chapter assumes no responsibility for replacement of broken, lost, or stolen statuettes.

Production Plaques

Production plaques may be purchased by individuals designated by the entrant of an EMMY®-awarded entry. These plaques are for persons who made a significant contribution to a winning piece's award- worthiness but were not listed on the original entry.

Please only purchase one award per name.

The rosewood plaque is 10 ½ x 13 with an inscribed gold plate featuring the academy logo. Please allow 8-10 weeks for delivery.

The National Television Academy is offering a handsome plaque commemorating work on EMMY® Award-nominated pieces. (Similar to shown above) The rosewood plaque is 8 x 10 with an inscribed gold plate featuring the academy logo. Please allow 8-10 weeks for delivery.

Nomination Certificates will be awarded to all nominees following verification of nomination.

Please note that we will be issuing Nomination Certificates by REQUEST ONLY, please Contact the Lone Star EMMY® office to request a certificate. There is no charge for the first Nomination Certificate, if a second is requested there will be a $25.00 charge.

Production Certificates:
Certificates may be purchased by individuals who contributed to an EMMY®-awarded entry but were not listed on the original entry form. Cost is $25 per certificate. Send a check or money order for $25 and a brief letter stating the credit (director, editor, etc.) , entry title, entry category and year awarded.

TO PURCHASE PRODUCTION CERTIFICATES

A quick word about promoting those EMMY® wins:

EMMY® winners may refer in advertising and publicity to the fact that they are an EMMY® recipient and for one year after the award was bestowed may use a replica of the EMMY® statuette in such advertising. A registration mark and the appropriate copyright notice (c) NATAS/ATAS must accompany any portrayal of the EMMY®.
